I made the mistake of telling my mum I was writing a blog.
“A novel?”
“No, not a novel. A blog. Just thoughts. Life advice. Something for H and B to read, hopefully to guide them”.
“So Wiffle Waffle? Nonsense on a page? It’s not even going to be relevant to them”.
And there I find myself. The sandwich generation. The butter, the jam, the spread.
Awkwardly compromised between decades.You have me to contend with, and I have my own mum.
This conversation shows why I hope what I’ve written is relevant.
It manifests the one true constant:
